"Discrimination in employment is an obstacle in human development process. Since ancient period, India witnessed discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, color, gender and class in our social and economic sphere" said Padma Shree Dr.Sukhdev Thorat, Chairman-ICSSR New Delhi. He was speaking as keynote speaker at a special lecture on "Discrimination in Employment" organised by Political Science Study Circle, Department of Political Science, Vivekanand Arts, Sardar Dalipsingh Commerce and Science College, Aurangabad.


He added that for the holistic development of our nation, we must adopt open employment policy which promotes quality of the human beings not caste, creed or color. Due to such discrimination, marginalized group are unable to contribute in the development of country and their backwardness prevailed since ages. He has also suggested few affirmative steps to eradicate such discrimination from our society.

Mr. Krishna Bhoge, former Divisional Commissioner, was the presiding officer for this special lecture. He explained the prevailing discrimination in our society with special reference to social and industrial aspects.

He explored the quality difference between rural and urban society due to such discrimination. He suggested that our society must understand and analyze fundamental rights and directive principles mentioned in our constitution and take proper actions to eliminate discrimination in the lights of Indian Constitution.


Principal B. S. Solunke briefly highlighted the profile of the college. Mr. Akshaybhau Shisode, President- Vivekanand Shikshan Sanstha, were present as guest of honor at this programme. Asst. Prof. Mukhtar Shaikh anchored the event and proposed vote of thanks. Dr. S. H. Kamble introduced the guests.


Dr. R. B. Shejul, HOD- Department of Political Science, Vice Principal Dr. K. B. Laghane, Vice Principal Prof. M. P. Khandare, G. B. Wable, Asst. Prof. V. B. Aware, Asst. Prof. D.S. Lawand, Asst. Prof. R. E. Bharudkar, Dr. Yogesh Bhade and Dr. Arun Wahul took special efforts for successfully conducting this event.
